Extreme Balaclava

Extreme Balaclava

So pleased with my lovely Extreme Balaclava - especially this winter, just brilliant.

Extreme Balaclava

A fleece balaclava with good wind and abrasion resistance. The full skirt stops blizzard snow from entering the neck of your jacket.
Weight:80g (3oz)
Price:£28.00

Features

  • Wind resistant warp-knit Taiga fleece
  • Full blizzard skirt
  • Lycra at face

Description

This balaclava is made in a warp knit fleece that gives excellent wind resistance (but is not entirely wind proof) and good durability. Complete with a full "skirt", covering all the area below the neck where the wind tries to knife in. A small but effective piece of expedition gear.

The warp knit fleece we use for this garment is lighter and distinctly more windproof than conventional weft-knit fleeces.

Technical

Taiga Fleece

This warp-knit fleece is primarily for real activity use rather than the street scene, although its comfort and lightness give little indication of its robust performance. It will resist abrasion and cut the wind far better than normal weft-knit fleeces, shrug off a shower and dry very quickly after a soaking. If work or play takes you out into the elements, take Taiga fleece - you'll notice the difference. Order samples of this fabric & just pay the postage.

Sizing

Small, Medium, and Large.
