Omega Down Boots (long)
|Outer Fabric:||2 layer Tempest|
|Colour:||Red with black patches|
|Construction:||Fully taped seams|
For complete weather protection these boots are made with 2 layer Tempest fabric and fully taped outer shells. Packing up to almost nothing, down boots can be a real boon on expeditions: and they'll double as mitts in a crisis.
Also available in 'standard' (ankle length).
- Box-wall throughout - no stitch-through seams
- Long - knee length with rear zip
- Elasticated tops
- Black inner for easy drying
- Stuff sac
- Pack size: 13 x 21cm*
*Please note: we make our stuff sacs big enough to allow fairly easy stuffing rather than reducing the boots to the tightest minimum. What air is left in the packed item will easily be compressed out of it, if you are squashing it into a small space in your rucsace. Tiny stuff sacs look impressive: but unless you are a sac-wrestling fan, fighting the gear into them day after day can be an unncecessary chore.
"I went to Everest as leader of Jagged Globes' North Ridge Expedition; this expedition included Sir Ranulph Fiennes who I believe you also supplied with down gear. The expedition was successful in placing six out of nine clients on the top . . . . [The] down boots [you made] to wear on Everest . . . worked perfectly and I will be using them again". Neal Short.
