All the Systems recommended for 8000m use the Hispar 600 sleeping bag. In 'System 1' the bag is combined with the Xero down suit, in 'System 2' the Xero jacket and trousers, and in 'System 3' our revolutionary Double Down Suit. Systems 1 and 2 offer -40°C daytime performance and both are rated for -47°C at night. System 3 offers nighttime performance ranging from -33°C to -50°C and daytime performance from -10°C to -50°C.

This system is a serious weight-saver. Wearing your down suit inside the Hispar 600 moves the performance rating right up to -47°C (the bag in the system is the Wide version to make sure that the suit can loft fully). Yet the Hispar bag weighs around 600g (21.2oz) less than a standard bag rated to -47°C and packs down to about two-thirds the volume. The Hispar 600K has even more impressive stats.
