Travels amongst the great Andes of Equator and the famous Avenue of Volcanoes stir the imagination, and justifiably so. These mountains offer physically demanding high altitude summits and big days. Cold starts in the very early hours are usually required on the glaciated routes as the fierce Equatorial sun quickly melts the snow. Although these summits are extremely accessible, slow and careful acclimatization is still required.
Wind chill rating: Medium
