Description:

The Hispar is a truly lightweight down jacket for high mountain use. The push to take increasingly light gear on every kind of route can mean that those difficult decisions between weight and warmth become even more awkward. The Hispar is intended to make them a little easier.

To achieve the finished weight the design has been stripped down to the essentials for a high mountain jacket -- box walls, chest pockets above harness level, an internal water-bottle pocket, and a large peaked hood. The inner fabric is soft and light M1: the outer is all water-resistant HS2.

The use of rare 950 fillpower down allows this jacket to weigh in at 795gm (28oz) while delivering remarkable high mountain performance.

Lightweight M1 fabric (weight: 39 gsm)

Lightweight silky microfibre. This close-weave 20 denier fabric is fully downproof, but also light and flexible enough to allow the down full loft. A reliable performer that has been the basis for much of our lightweight gear for some time.


950 fillpower down

A newcomer to our range. European goose of rare quality. A high value alternative at the top levels of performance. More on our down insulation.

Waterproof HS2 outer fabric (weight: 88 gsm)

HS2 is a 2-layer laminate, a high-spec option for the outer layer of our insulated gear. This ripstop fabric strikes an excellent balance between lightness and durability. It is light enough for our Belay tops and tough enough for expedition use in our Omega clothing, while the Kappa clothing makes full use of both its qualities. HS2 is completely waterproof (when the seams are taped) and offers excellent breathability. (Weight: 88gsm).
