    Description

A fully-taped oversuit designed as the top layer for full expedition clothing, with a wide cut to fit over down garments (also available in slimmer 'fleece-fit').  The Omega represents expedition outerwear at its most protective.

A formidable list of technical specifications includes: 6 pockets to stow kit while on the move, double storm baffles, Velcro cuffs to adjust to any Jacket / Mitt combination, and toilet access options to mirror your suit or salopettes.

    Available in two cuts:

    • Down fit – full size to cover down gear (either a down jacket and trousers or a full down suit)
    • Fleece fit – slimmer fit to cover fleece/pile etc.

Our wind proof and water resistant Xero shell suit is a lighter option for those not requiring the complete protection offered by HS3 fabric and fully-taped seams.

    Technical

Waterproof HS3 outer fabric (weight: 115gsm)

HS3 is a 3-layer laminate, the new fabric for our Alpamayo shell gear. The old argument that a 2-layer fabric with a separate mesh inner was both more flexible and more breathable than a 3-layer has been overtaken by the performance of current 3-layers such as HS3. This new ripstop fabric also removes the disadvantages of mesh (which snags on velcro and can form an ice-trap in extreme cold) and makes the gear considerably lighter. HS3 is fully waterproof and offers excellent breathability. Order samples of this fabric & just pay the postage.

    Toilet Access on Suits

    • Under & Up zip: The central front zip on the suit runs from the collar, down the front of the body, past the groin and then under and up to waist level at the back. A two-way zip allows access at any place.
    • Rainbow Seat zip: A rainbow / semicircle zip is sewn in across the backside. A two-way zip allows access and creates a drop down flap.

    Sizing

    Standard clothing sizing chart

Weight shown is for medium (M) size.

The PHD Sizing Chart below is based on measurements without clothing, exactly the way you would buy a shirt, a sweater or a pair of trousers. A 42" (107cm) chest means that your bare chest uninflated measures 42". Inside Arm is measured from armpit to wrist-bone and Inside Leg from crutch to ankle bone. If you find that you fall between (or across) these sizings, please contact us and we will quote you for modifications needed. Modifications cannot be made to sale items, bargain box items or other products not offered at full price. And if you are supplying us with your measurements, it is always useful for us to know your height, even when you are only buying a jacket.
