Yukon Down Jacket (sale)

"Many thanks for the jacket that you supplied me for the Yukon Arctic Ultra. [It] performed perfectly in temperatures down to -35c. The light weight and small size was also a huge help and helped me gain second place in the race. I . . . am now the second fastest person over the course and the fastest European."

Description:

The remarkable weight and pack-down size of the Yukon make it ideal for lightweight mountaineering, high level trekking, cold races and long distance hiking.

Weighing just 445gm (16oz) complete with hood, it combines a proofed, breathable Drishell fabric outer with a lightweight M1 fabric inner. Its box wall construction and exceptional 950 fillpower down boost its performance well beyond the rest of our ultralight clothing.

The handwarmer pockets are zipped to keep out blowing snow and there is a stretch drawcord in the hem. The insulated chest pocket keeps a GPS (or other battery-operated kit) both warm and easily available. The reflect zip pulls are a safety feature, improving night-time location.

This is not designed as a high mountain jacket like the Rondoy. But when the kit has to be ultralight and stitch-through jackets are just not warm enough, the Yukon can be the ideal choice.

Dispatch time: As with all PHD products, these are made to order and by hand. We estimate it will take us around 4 to 6 weeks to make and dispatch sale orders. During busy periods it may take a little longer.

30% less than our standard version (save £177).

Water-resistant Drishell outer fabric (weight: 54 gsm)

Ripstop nylon with an ultralight coating: achieves total windblock, along with high breathability and superior water resistance. Superbly efficient for a very light overall fabric weight.

Lightweight M1 fabric (weight: 39 gsm)

Lightweight silky microfibre. This close-weave 20 denier fabric is fully downproof, but also light and flexible enough to allow the down full loft. A reliable performer that has been the basis for much of our lightweight gear for some time.

950 fillpower down

A newcomer to our range. European goose of rare quality. A high value alternative at the top levels of performance. More on our down insulation.
