Yukon Patch Pocket Jacket (sale)

"Many thanks for the jacket that you supplied me for the Yukon Arctic Ultra. [It] performed perfectly in temperatures down to -35c. The light weight and small size was also a huge help and helped me gain second place in the race. I . . . am now the second fastest person over the course and the fastest European."
Dr Stuart Gillet (wearing a prototype Yukon jacket).

Description:

Available until 21 April.

A special version of the Yukon Jacket, with a chest pocket for a smartphone or compact camera.

This is a non-standard version of the Yukon with a water-resistant Ultrashell outer fabric and PHD’s exceptional 900 fillpower down, still made using box wall construction to boost its performance well beyond the rest of our Ultralight clothing. Hood, zipped handwarmer pockets, and drawcord hem as usual.

The Yukon Jacket was originally created as a racer's jacket - lightweight, but warm enough for very cold events like the Yukon Ultra.

£117 less than our standard version.

The Yukon Down Jacket has proved itself as an excellent piece of gear for a wide range of uses

It is not designed as a high mountain jacket like the Hispar or the Xero. But when the kit has to be ultralight and stitch-through jackets are just not warm enough, the Yukon can be the ideal choice.

Dispatch time: As with all PHD products, these are made to order and by hand. We estimate it will take us around 4 to 6 weeks to make and dispatch sale orders. During busy periods it may take a little longer.

Ultrashell (weight: 40 gsm)

One of the lightest of PHD's coated materials. This ripstop nylon provides complete wind block and good water resistance at minimal weight. Ultrashell gives an excellent upgrade to performance with very little weight penalty.

Lightweight M1 fabric (weight: 39 gsm)

Lightweight silky microfibre. This close-weave 20 denier fabric is fully downproof, but also light and flexible enough to allow the down full loft. A reliable performer that has been the basis for much of our lightweight gear for some time.

900 Fillpower Down

European goose down of very high quality. A truly excellent down with large clusters, consistent quality and lively long-term performance. More on our down insulation.
