Description

A special version of the Yukon Jacket, with a chest pocket for a smartphone or compact camera.

This is a non-standard version of the Yukon with a water-resistant Ultrashell ripstop fabric outer, but still with box wall construction and PHD’s exceptional 900 fillpower down to boost its performance well beyond the rest of our Ultralight clothing. Hood, zipped handwarmer pockets, and drawcord hem as usual.

The Yukon Jacket was originally created as a racer's jacket - lightweight, but warm enough for very cold events like the Yukon Ultra.

£93 less than our standard version.

It has proved itself since as an excellent piece of gear for a wide range of uses

It is not designed as a high mountain jacket like the Hispar or the Xero. But when the kit has to be ultralight and stitch-through jackets are just not warm enough, the Yukon can be the ideal choice.

Dispatch time: As with all PHD products, these are made to order and by hand. We estimate it will take us around 20 working days to make and dispatch sale orders. During busy periods it may take a little longer.

Technical

Ultrashell (weight: 40gsm)

The lightest of PHD's coated materials. This ripstop nylon provides complete wind block and good water resistance at minimal weight. Ultrashell gives an excellent upgrade to performance with very little weight penalty. Order samples of this fabric & just pay the postage.

Lightweight M1 fabric (weight: 39 gsm)

Lightweight silky microfibre. This close-weave 20 denier fabric is fully downproof, but also light and flexible enough to allow the down full loft. A reliable performer that has been the basis for much of our lightweight gear for some time. Order samples of this fabric & just pay the postage.

900 Fillpower Down

European goose down of very high quality. A truly excellent down with large clusters, consistent quality and lively long-term performance. More on our down insulation.

Sizing

Standard clothing sizing chart

Weight shown is for medium (M) size.

The PHD Sizing Chart below is based on measurements without clothing, exactly the way you would buy a shirt, a sweater or a pair of trousers. A 42" (107cm) chest means that your bare chest uninflated measures 42". Inside Arm is measured from armpit to wrist-bone and Inside Leg from crutch to ankle bone. If you find that you fall between (or across) these sizings, please contact us and we will quote you for modifications needed. Modifications cannot be made to sale items, bargain box items or other products not offered at full price.
