Description:

Twice the loft of our Ultra Quilt and with a waterproof top, our Minim Shelled Quilt is wonderfully comfortable yet so simple in design. A fabulous alternative to a mummy shaped sleeping bag.

The outer (top) Dri-LX fabric is totally waterproof and protects the down from damp in a lightweight tent or from drifting rain in a tarp.

Ideal for spring and autumn nights, its warmth and protection means you can enjoy the benefits of a quilt over a longer season outdoors.

The MX fabric on the underside of each quilt is very soft and comfy against the skin and so light it allows maximum lofting of the rare 950 down. The quilt feels virtually weightless at night. The side loops allow you to fix your own attachments to hold it in place.

Also available in single size and unshelled.

Note: This quilt has been designed to be as warm as possible for minimum weight. As it is open, it is not possible to give it a temperature rating. If combined with a sleeping bag outdoors, or with other bedding at home, it can add significant extra warmth. On the bed at home the quilt's 10X cover slides more easily than normal bedding fabrics. If you are not using a lightweight top sheet or cover, you may want to make use of the tie loops to ensure that the quilt stays in place.

Dri-LX (weight: 64 gsm)

At just 64gsm, Dri-LX is our lightest 2-layer breathable waterproof rip-stop nylon fabric. Its remarkably low weight not only makes for a lighter load, but also reduces pack size. Its excellent waterproofing qualities are in part due to how it can be taped at the seams to create a waterproof shell for sleeping bags and clothing.

Superlight MX fabric (weight: 32 gsm)

A mini-ripstop nylon with excellent tear strength, MX is the pick of the superfine 15 denier downproof materials. We have tested lighter fabrics, but most have had significant drawbacks, while our confidence in MX is based on several years of extensive use in both our ultralight and our high mountain gear.
